Tim has always loved trying new visual ideas which impact the audience. Starting out as an animator on promos and installations for John Peel, Radiohead and Fatboy Slim, Tim was lucky to get the call from the Fatboy to join him for over a decade as show director using the biggest LED screens he could assemble on the beaches of Brighton, Brazil, Bondi and beyond. In 2007 Tim saw the launch of the iPhone and thought…”hmmm video in your pocket…. interesting” and founded televisual top 10 corporate production company Plastic Pictures. Sensing the same sea change in 2015 Tim set up Future Visual to focus on Virtual Reality.
In October 2015 Future Visual’s product SiPVR (Shopping & Immersion Platform) won the Innovate Uk award to partner with John Lewis developing Immersive Retail. In July 2016 SiPVR finished in the top 10 out of 4,000 applicants to win investment and mentoring in the Publicis Startup 90 competition.
In November 2017 Future Visual delivered RampVR the world’s first ground crew simulator trainer. RampVR provides VR training to aviation ground crew and has won the Technological Solutions category of International Airport Review’s 2017 awards programme. In August 2018 Future Visual launched their first product VISIONxR™, a framework that allows rapid development of multi-user multi-device environments and for the first time bringing together VR,AR, desktop and mobile to work in the same virtual immersive space.
