Peter started out at EMAP Publishing followed by 25 years in the trade show industry, including early roles at Blenheim and Tarsus.

In 2002, he launched the first of four trade show businesses — not all of which went to plan, including a spectacular bellyflop in the first one, but each brought valuable lessons. Most recently, he built Nineteen Events, which was acquired by Phoenix Equity Partners in 2018.

Since then, Nineteen Group, has grown to deliver 21 major-scale shows, supported by nearly 200 brilliant people across offices in London, Hong Kong, Singapore, and soon, Boston.

Nineteen prides itself on being culture-first, with a belief that if you get culture right, the numbers tend to look after themselves.

In 2024, a continuation fund was completed to support Nineteen’s next ‘Season II’ chapter, with backing from new investors Kline Hill and Ares Landmark, alongside long-standing partners at Phoenix Equity.
