Paul has enjoyed over 20 years in the events industry working within a PLC business, privately owned organisation, private equity backed entity and is also a past Chair of the AEO.
Paul started his impressive career in a sales environment within Haymarket Publishing before joining Reed Exhibitions in a marketing role in 1998. At Reed, Paul gained a wealth of experience in both the trade event industry and the marketing discipline and attributes his time with Reed as educating him, most importantly of all, in how to manage teams well.
In 2003, the world of creative and entrepreneurial consumer events opened up for Paul when he joined Upper Street Events. He is proud to have been MD of the business, having built it up from a small dedicated team into a major player in the consumer events sector, acquiring and launching (not always successfully!) along the way.
Having sold the business to a private equity investor in 2014, Paul left Upper Street Events in 2017. He enjoyed two years working as a consultant with several businesses until he took the role of MD – Live Events Immediate Media following its acquisition of Upper Street Events in January 2019.
